气孔是由一对保卫细胞围成的小孔,是植物与环境进行气体交换的重要器官并被许多微生物利用作为入侵植物的天然开口。气孔张开及关闭运动在调控植物生长、水分平衡及环境响应过程中扮演重要角色。本课题组主要从事作物气孔生物学研究,其中气孔免疫植物病害是课题组的重点研究方向。在这个方向上课题组已取得系列理论成果,形成了特色。这些研究在单细胞水平上阐明了病原菌诱导的气孔免疫分子机理,发现了多个关键基因,并提出了保卫细胞通过程序性死亡来抵御病原菌入侵(同归于尽)的创新性气孔免疫理论。同时,课题组致力于作物气孔调控技术的研发服务于作物的可持续生产。
